a light that says: Mensen, meaning People, but where are they? Is there a stuffed
man or woman present? No, only monkeys, lemurs and apes are displayed. Man is
missing. Why? That is because of King William the first. He has founded this museum in 1820. He was of the opinion that it is inappropriate
to make taxidermy mounts of people in musea. We agree, so man is missing. You, as visitor, sitting near the light in the
floor, make our collection complete: Homo sapiens Linnaeus, 1758. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
