This hall is called “AARDE”, meaning earth. It is about how the crust of the earth is formed and how it is broken down. Roughly spoken, the crust is formed and shaped by endogenous processes, and broken down by exogenous processes.
Endogenous processes are driven by the Earth's vast heat engine. Deep within the Earth, heat is generated by the radioactive decay of elements like uranium, thorium, and potassium.
Processes acting at the surface of the earth and primarily driven by solar energy are called exogenous processes e.g. weathering, erosion.

Let's go the panel over there in the middle and after that to the mass balance at the right side.
